Indochina Heritage Travel Foundation

Cambodia is one of the world’s poorest nations, where the gap between rich and poor is huge and the threat of destruction of natural resources a real concern. The rapid growth of tourism, which has led to rising environmental concerns including habitat degradation, the over-consumption of resources, and pollution

With a target “traveling for the sake of our environment and community”, Indochina Heritage Travel has continuously organized many meaningful activities to improve the environment and society of Cambodia.

"BRING BACK LIGHT TO THE POOR BLINDS"

This activity co-operate with Tu Tam’s Charity which was established 1998 by Vietnam’s doctor group like doctor, dentist, pharmacist, sanatorium as well as many volunteers from Hospitals in Vietnam. We usually organize and support “ The Sponsor Association for poor patients”, with an expectation to bring back light to over 1,200 poor blinds in the entire nation, so that they can live better, to take care of themselves and to contribute more to their families and society.

AN "EVER CLEAN AND GREEN ENVIRONMENT FOR TOURISM"

“For an Ever clean and green environment for tourism” is a program launched and initially taken place around Wat Phnom area on Feb 02-2013 with the participation of distinguished guests, Indochina Heritage Travel’s team and city volunteers.

The program is created in order to remind and rebuild people’s awareness of keeping clean the surrounding areas, simply not dropping litter and throwing garbage. The 4 main activities in the program are:

- Picking up litter and garbage

- Sweeping streets,

- Propagandizing local people and tourists not to drop litter in public, especially at cultural and historical sites and destinations,

- Encouraging using and delivering self-destroying garbage nylon bags.
Staff and volunteers were divided into small groups spreading around the city to carry out these missions.

This campaign “For an Ever clean and green environment for tourism” has been launched and will be implemented continuously in 2014, not only in the community but also included in each domestic and international travel itinerary.
