DAY 01: HA NOI ARRIVAL
Upon arrival, you will meet our the guide then transfer to your hotel. The rest of day is free at leisure.
Overnight in Ha Noi.
DAY 02: HA NOI (B)
After to breakfast, your journey starts with visits the very first university of Viet Nam which was established in the grounds of a temple in 1076 and operated for an amazing 700 years. Quoc Tu Giam, as it is known, is well-preserved and a stroll around its halls evokes images of academia in the time of the Mandarins.
The next attraction is Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum, and his modest house built on stilts nearby. Then visit one of Viet Nam’s most iconic temples- the One Pillar Pagoda, which was founded in 1049 by King Ly Thai To.
Hanoi’s Old Quarter is known as the ’36 streets’, and we’ll amble around taking in the peaceful atmosphere; through charming Hang Be Market, down bustling narrow streets and alleys and around Hoan Kiem Lake. This is a wonderful area to explore, with thousands of shopkeepers and small businesses and plenty of photo opportunities.
Finish the day with a performance of the uniquely Vietnamese art form: Water puppetry which introduces stories about the history and cultures of Vietnam since foundation days.
Overnight in Ha Noi.
Note : The mausoleum will be viewed from outside and is closed Mondays and Fridays as well as the months of October & November.
DAY 03: HA NOI - HA LONG (B, L, D)
Transfer to Ha Long- the UNESCO World Heritage Site for an overnight boat trip.
Arrive in Ha Long City in the late morning and board a traditional wooden junk (or a classic replica steamship - The Emerald) for an overnight journey into the bay. We sail past a variety of rock formations, many named after their resemblance to things (Sail, Dog, and Incense Pot), before weighing anchors as the sun begins to set over the bay. Enjoy a relaxed dinner before settling down for the night.

DAY 04: HA LONG BAY - DEPARTURE (B)
Your boat sails past gorgeous scenery and limestone rock formations to Ha Long City. Upon disembarkation, you will be transferred back Hanoi, where the rest of your day is free for your own relaxation or more exploration.
Upon arrival, you will meet our the guide then transfer to your hotel. The rest of day is free at leisure.
